Customerry is looking for the most customer-oriented company in Mechelen.
This summer, Customerry is looking for the most customer-oriented company in Mechelen.
Why this initiative?
For nearly five years now, Customerry has been known as a partner for customer-oriented solutions tailored to SMEs and in plain language. Our focus lies specifically on small and medium-sized enterprises, not least because of our great passion for local businesses, as it is often they who have devised surprisingly innovative ways to professionalize their customer experience.
It is precisely these kinds of shops, hospitality businesses, group practices, business offices, and other small enterprises that we want to give the stage they deserve this summer—with your help!
Good question! This competition is open to all companies from Mechelen (or its sub-municipality) with a maximum of 50 employees. The selection process runs throughout the summer of 2024 and consists of 3 major steps:
1. You fill out an initial participation form
Don't worry, because naturally we don't conduct unnecessarily long surveys; that would be against the rules of our trade... To indicate that you wish to participate, we only ask for basic contact information. Additionally, please explain in a maximum of 5 sentences why you are a customer-oriented company in Mechelen that deserves this award.
2. You will receive an invitation for a mini Customerry audit
Especially for this initiative, we are creating a 'light' version of our standard audit that you will receive completely free of charge. In plain language? We will ask you to complete a more extensive set of questions to assess your level of customer focus. We base this on 5 pillars of customer experience (strategy, voice of the customer, customer journey, culture, communication). After the competition concludes, you will receive a clear, free report from us with your score and a benchmark against other customer-focused businesses in Mechelen.
3. The top 5 receive an invitation for an in-depth interview.
From phase 2, we select the 5 companies with the highest scores. We invite them for an in-depth interview about their customer-oriented actions and lessons learned. Based on all this information, an independent jury (and therefore not Customerry alone) decides which company takes home the title of the most customer-oriented company in Mechelen this year.
What is there to win?
A valid question! May we first emphasize that this contest has absolutely no commercial agenda? In other words, participation is completely free. Furthermore, Customerry itself is a small business. Suffice it to say, we do not have a budget for a team trip to New York for the winners.
In addition to the necessary publicity, the winner will receive an experiential moment for the entire team. Think: a moment to celebrate with your team the wonderful things you create for clients day in and day out. Exactly what that entails remains a surprise for now.
In addition, every participant gains a clear insight into the current level of customer focus within the company, and we are happy to share your wonderful stories on our social media channels!
FAQ & other practical tips
Surely I can't claim to be the most customer-oriented company in Mechelen?
And why not? Throw that Flemish modesty overboard for once and be proud of yourself and your team!
Can I nominate a company other than my own?
You certainly may do so. You can use the same form for this, provided you have the necessary details of your fellow entrepreneur.
Are there any costs associated with participation?
No! At no point during this search will you be forced to purchase anything from Customerry or a third party. Nor is there any obligation to purchase or collaborate afterwards. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What exactly are you going to share and make public about our company?
Simple, only for what you give us permission. We will never publish anything without your explicit permission. If you do not want to be mentioned at all, then this contest might not be for you.
What important dates are there throughout the process?
Registration for participation closes on 31/07
* 1st week of August: completing mini assessment
* 3rd week of August: interviews with the top 5 candidates
We are currently still in discussions with the city regarding the award ceremony. As soon as the exact date is known, you can find it here.
Who is behind the search for the most customer-oriented company in Mechelen?
Nice to meet you, Sarah! 30-something, stepmom to 2 teenagers and 1 four-legged friend, nature lover, foodie, and bookworm. Life enthusiast, idealist, dreamer, and positive world improver. I love connecting, shaking people awake, and helping to shape innovative plans.
Customerry, that is me. It is the result of 15 years of customer-facing roles in which I often saw the same issues and challenges, namely: a company is only as customer-oriented as its least customer-oriented department.
Why is that? Because companies rarely have a clear customer strategy and corporate values anymore, among other reasons. The search for an 'overall' solution became necessary; I discovered the field of customer experience and fell in love instantly. After several years of studying and gaining experience, I obtained my CCXP certificate in 2019 and started my own business. My mission? To guide as many companies as possible towards a customer-centric way of working.
You can come to Customerry for:
- Inspiration: various keynotes, brainstorms, and even a real CX game
- Implementation: from initial assessment to co-drafting and executing your client-facing projects
- Information: from training courses on the CX profession to enabling your team to communicate in a customer-centric way , you can count on us.
